My passion for wedding planning was first sparked while I was planning my own wedding! A few months after Sam and I got married, I realized I missed the thrill of planning events. I devoted myself to getting certified as a wedding planner and then began working as a wedding planner in 2020. In late 2021, everything fell into place for us to launch Toujours Events.
When I’m not working with my incredible couples, you may find me on a hike with my handsome business partner and husband, Sam, and our adorable little Australian Shepherd puppy, Aspen. I love to cook new recipes I’ve never tried before, shop at colorful stores like Monkees of the West End and Ivy City Co., and organize our sweet home (A clean home is a happy home, right?).
MEET CALLIE
Principal Planner & Owner
I loved partnering with my talented wife to launch Toujours back in 2021, but since then have taken a step back from the company. I now mostly function as an advisor to the planning team, helping them think through and tackle the more intricate situations. I also help manage the finances and occasionally you may see me helping with set up for an event. However, my full time career is with Clemson University working as a Lecturer in the Nutrition & Dietetics Department.
I love exercising with a good game of tennis, a round of disc golf, or a long hike with our sweet puppy, Aspen. Nutrition and dietetics are extremely important to me and I love reading studies regarding human health. My drink of choice is an Old Fashioned, but I also love a good sipping whiskey.

Hi! I'm Ellen! Prior to joining the team, I taught high school science for nearly a decade. After having my daughter, I was in need of a career change that better suited my family and creative spirit. As a former teacher, I have a knack for planning and organization that translates perfectly to event planning and helping to plan, design, and coordinate weddings and special events feeds my creativity. As a third generation Hallmark aficionado, I love all things love and what better way to fulfill and share all these passions?!
On a more personal note, I'm blessed to be the wife of my wonderful husband, Christopher, and mom to our beautiful kids, Magnolia (Noli) and Hollis. On weekends when I'm not with the Toujours team at one of our wonderful weddings, you can find my family and me camping by the lake with our dogs, Miller and Brewer, or enjoying a Disney movie marathon. I love cooking and baking -- it's my love language! Not to mention, I have an insatiable sweet tooth, so bring on the wedding cake!!

What started as a simple email to Callie asking about job opportunities quickly turned into one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made: packing up and moving from Charleston to Greenville to join the Toujours team! As a recent College of Charleston graduate, I bring an eagerness to learn, a passion for creativity, and a love for bringing together all the little details that make each couple’s day meaningful and unforgettable.
When I’m not busy at work, you can find me coaching basketball at a local high school or making the drive back to Charleston for a weekend visit with friends. I love being active and exploring new places just as much as I love a cozy night in cuddling my babies, my two cats, Eloise and Buggs. I can never resist a good arts-and-crafts moment, so my office definitely has more glitter and paint than the average office!
