My passion for wedding planning was first sparked while I was planning my own wedding! A few months after Sam and I got married, I realized I missed the thrill of planning events. I devoted myself to getting certified as a wedding planner and then began working as a wedding planner in 2020. In late 2021, everything seemed to fall into place for us to launch Toujours Events. Shortly after our first Toujours wedding, Sam joined the company as a partner and we haven't looked back since!
When I’m not working with my incredible couples, you may find me on a hike with my handsome business partner and husband, Sam, and our adorable little Australian Shepherd puppy, Aspen. I love to cook new recipes I’ve never tried before, shop at colorful stores like Monkees of the West End and Ivy City Co., and organize our sweet home (A clean home is a happy home, right?).

Principal Planner & Owner
After I assisted on our first wedding under the Toujours name, I was certain I had a new calling. As a soon-to-be registered dietitian and with a background in nutrition, I couldn’t have foreseen how much joy I would find in the wedding world. Working alongside my beautiful bride and the Toujours Events team as the Financial & Operations Director has been incredible. Who could have guessed that a dietitian would be so passionate about wedding planning? I love partnering with my talented wife to guide our couples toward an extraordinary celebration that will mark the start of their forever.
In my free time, I am an avid road and mountain cyclist. I also love exercising with a good game of tennis, a round of disc golf, or a long hike with our sweet puppy, Aspen. Nutrition and dietetics are extremely important to me and I love reading studies regarding human health. My drink of choice is an Old Fashioned, but I also love a good sipping whiskey.

Financial & Operations Director & Owner
Hi! I'm Ellen! Prior to joining the team, I taught high school science for nearly a decade. After having my daughter, I was in need of a career change that better suited my family and creative spirit. As a former teacher, I have a knack for planning and organization that translates perfectly to event planning and helping to plan, design, and coordinate weddings and special events feeds my creativity. As a third generation Hallmark aficionado, I love all things love and what better way to fulfill and share all these passions?!
On a more personal note, I'm blessed to be the wife of my wonderful husband, Christopher, and mom to our beautiful daughter, Magnolia (Noli). On weekends when I'm not with the Toujours team at one of our wonderful weddings, you can find my family and me camping by the lake with our dog, Miller, or enjoying a Disney movie marathon. I love cooking and baking -- it's my love language! Not to mention, I have an insatiable sweet tooth, so bring on the wedding cake!!

I first met Callie while working on a wedding together in early 2021 and we hit it off right away as we found we shared many similarities within the topics of traveling and our lovely husbands. Not long after that, I was working with her and Sam on the moment that started everything - the very first Toujours Events wedding. As an educated fashion designer, the most exciting part of each wedding day is to experience that which was originally only a picture in one's head suddenly taking shape in the form of our couple's dream wedding day.
Originally from Austria, I now live with my husband in the beautiful state of South Carolina. As a passionate world explorer, you’ll most likely to find me planning a new itinerary for an upcoming trip somewhere in the world. I also enjoy exploring the local wilderness of our surrounding State Parks on a hike, as well as a challenging game of chess with my husband.
