When and Where

Earlier this year, we planned a winter wedding at the historic Westin Poinsett Hotel in downtown Greenville. The weekend felt like a fairytale. It was filled with love, beauty, and a touch of Christmas magic.

The bride chose a meaningful date—her late grandmother’s birthday. So, we made sure every detail honored that legacy. The event was full of thoughtful, personal touches that made the day unforgettable.

The Wedding Details

We started with the color palette. Ivory and deep red set a romantic, wintery tone. These rich hues captured the season’s beauty without becoming too themed. From there, we added whimsical bows. They appeared on the cake, the chairs, and even hanging from chandeliers. This playful element tied everything together—literally and visually.

In addition, the bride asked us to help her celebrate loved ones. We included a special birthday cake for her grandmother. She also dedicated her bouquet to her mom. These quiet moments added heart to the celebration.

For the design, we pulled direct inspiration from the Westin Poinsett itself. The ballroom wallpaper became the custom seating chart backdrop. We even recreated it as the wrap for the dance floor. Custom paint colors from the hotel matched the poinsettia flower boxes at the reception entrance. It all felt cohesive, intentional, and elegant.

As a final touch, guests took home custom poinsettia ornaments. These doubled as festive favors and tributes to the venue’s name. As a result, the details felt thoughtful and uniquely tied to the couple’s story.

We made sure everything—from the custom invitations to the curated place settings—reflected the couple’s vision. The weekend overflowed with joy, love, and beauty. It was our honor to bring this magical winter wedding to life at the Westin Poinsett.
